Xerf RF

Structural skin tightening — at Satori, lower face & jowl focus. Pair with Ultra as K-Luxe, or with Morpheus 8 to tighten two ways.

What it is

XERF is Cynosure Lutronic’s structural skin-tightening RF — multi-depth energy that supports collagen and elastin so skin can look plumper, tighter, and firmer over time. No needles. Warm and comfortable for most clients.

At Satori we typically focus lower face and jowl with Xerf. For full-face brightening in the same visit, ask about K-Luxe (Xerf + Ultra).

  • Little to no downtime for most clients
  • No needles or incisions

What to expect & downtime

A face-and-neck session usually takes about an hour. You’ll feel warmth; many describe an immediate tighter feel, with continued improvement as collagen rebuilds over about 8–12 weeks. Individual results vary.

Your session, step by step

  1. Consult & skin checkWe review your goals, health history, and any implants or medications, then confirm Xerf is a fit.
  2. Cleanse & prepYour skin is cleansed and mapped, and topical numbing is applied for comfort.
  3. TreatYour nurse moves the handpiece across your lower face, jawline, and neck in passes, adjusting energy to what you feel. Expect warmth, like a hot stone.
  4. SootheSkin is cooled and calmed, and we go over aftercare.
  5. Return to your dayMost clients head back to normal activities right away, with a slightly flushed look that settles quickly.
  6. Build over timeResults continue over about 8–12 weeks. We’ll plan any follow-up sessions with you.

Xerf FAQ

Does Xerf hurt?

Most clients describe it as warm, a bit like a hot stone moving across the skin. We use topical numbing for comfort, and your provider adjusts as you go.

How is Xerf different from Morpheus 8?

Xerf focuses on deeper structural tightening. Morpheus 8 is RF microneedling, so it’s often chosen for texture and scarring. They work differently and can be combined — your provider will plan the order and timing.

Who should skip Xerf?

Xerf isn’t appropriate if you’re pregnant or have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device. Tell us about any implants, medical conditions, or medications at your consult so we can confirm it’s safe for you.

How many treatments will I need?

Most clients do a series of about 2–3 sessions, spaced as your provider recommends. Some come back for maintenance. Your plan is set at consult.

When will I see results?

Many people notice a firmer feel soon after, and results continue to build over about 8–12 weeks as collagen rebuilds. Individual results vary.

How long is a session?

About an hour for face and neck.

Is Xerf safe for all skin tones?

Xerf uses radiofrequency energy rather than light, so it’s designed to be suitable for all skin tones. Your provider will still assess your skin at consult.

Can I combine Xerf with Sculptra or Botox?

Often, yes. Xerf can be paired with Sculptra, Botox, or other treatments at your provider’s direction, with the order and timing planned for you.

Can Xerf help with “Ozempic face”?

Weight changes, including on GLP-1 medications, can leave the lower face and jawline looking looser. Xerf can support firmness in those areas, often alongside volume treatments. GLP-1 medications themselves require a medical evaluation — see our GLP-1 page.
